MEET Curiosity Kiwi!

What inspired you to create children’s content?

After having my 3rd child and making the decision to homeschool my other 2, I wanted to come up with a fun way to teach them about animals and science. I loved watching the Discovery Channel when I was a kid, so that inspired me to use real clips of animals. Then, I started making songs about animals that they also loved and still sing together. And Curiosity Kiwi was born!

What made you say yes to joining Bright Bees Kids?

I believe in the mission of making educational content that is truly educational and also enjoyable. I also love that Bright Bees values the creativity process of educational creators and wants to see us succeed in our dreams!

What do you hope children and families gain from watching your show?

I hope children will find a spark of curiosity and imagination about the world around them, from animals to nature, and can create their own adventures from that inspiration!

What was your favorite children’s book growing up, or what is your favorite children’s book now?

My favorite children’s book that my kids also love is "I Love You Stinky Face" by Lisa McCourt. It is about a mom telling her child a bedtime story that she will love them no matter if they are a one-eyed monster or a stinky skunk.
